AUTHOR/CREATOR

Audra P. Jackson graduated from Florida A&M University’s School of Business with a B.S. in Business Administration in 1990.  In 1988 at Florida A&M University she pledged the Beta Alpha Chapter of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc.  Ms. Jackson received an M.B.A. from the University of Phoenix and is actively pursuing her Ph.D. in Adult Education and Organizational Development from the University of Georgia in Athens, Georgia. Additionally, Audra holds a graduate certificate in Interdisciplinary Qualitative Studies.

 

A 25-year music industry veteran in publicity and marketing, Audra has worked with such artists as Sean “Puffy” Combs and Busta Rhymes. She has also worked for some of the largest music labels in the entertainment business, including Universal, BMG and Sony Music.  Audra left the glitz, glamour and hectic lifestyle of the music industry to be the best mom she could be to her two little girls Ashley and Tiffany also known as Frick and Frack for their penchant for togetherness.  

 

The vision of writing children’s books began when her friend and sorority sister Stacy asked her how she would introduce Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc. to her two daughters.  A skilled writer, Audra began the endeavor of creating "My Mommy Is A Delta." She states, "I want all of our children to see the positive images of professional and upwardly mobile men and women in our society and that they are our future.  Someone once said “I believe the children are our  future” I totally agree."
